The story behind the name...

Back in the summer of 2018, I kept hearing of folks who were venturing to Spain to do this beloved pilgrimage. Then, completely unplanned, I was actually listening to Shirley Maclaine’s audiobook, ‘the camino’, while making parts of this bag. (Great book by the way!)

Finally when it was finished I tried it on...oh boy!. I think at that moment the airport started to call my name...adventure surged into my toes...and I saw myself travelling the world with just this backpack.
And then I asked myself, ‘what should I name it?’
I immediately heard, ‘the camino’

Well of course...the name has been in the air waiting for me to notice!

As you can see...the camino is a solid travelling buddy.

Even if your pilgrimage begins with trips to and from work...my hunch is he is already arranging an extended vacation for you.

The details:

• the leather is a light tan, oil tanned cowhide. The rustic hues will develop their own character over time, slightly darkening and acquiring a beautiful patina.

• cognac straps and buckle closures on pockets

• dark brown stitching

• solid antiqued brass hardware.

• cognac draw string to cinch the bag closed

• adjustable shoulder straps

• carrying loop making it easy to pick up

• the camino is super spacious: 17” height x 12” length x 6” width

• 7 outside pockets:

  • the outside front and side pockets have a hidden sleeve behind the flap, creating quick and easy access for simple things like keys & phone etc.

  • outside back sleeve to stash a boarding pass or book:

    11 1/2” height x 11 1/2” length

• outer front pocket dimensions: 7” height x 8” length x 1 1/2” width

• outer side pocket dimensions: 7” height x 6” length x 1 1/2” width

• inside water bottle holder (front left side)

• two inner pocket sleeves (front and right side)

• inside computer sleeve with closure:
